Brenda Mize, the owner of Beacon’s Glow Collectibles, identifies with collectors of all types. Her love of collectibles was instilled early in childhood when she collected Madame Alexander and Barbie dolls, as well as dollhouse miniatures. As a former information technology professional, she has learned the importance of taking time to enjoy the little pleasures in life.

Brenda’s dream of owning her own online collectible store has come true with the opening of Beacon’s Glow Collectibles. She has lived in Pflugerville, Texas, USA, for over 20 years with her wonderful husband and two sons.

Oftentimes, our customers ask how the name of our company, Beacon’s Glow Collectibles, came to be. Brenda came up with this company's name when the company was formed back in the Fall of 2003. She has always had a love for lighthouses. (In fact, she has her own lighthouse dollhouse that she built several years back that even has a working beacon). The calming and serene feeling that one's gets at nighttime when watching a lighthouse beacon is indescribable. The beacon glow is indeed mesmerizing and yet rather mystical at the same time. Hence, a love for collectibles and a love for lighthouses played a great significance in creating the name "Beacon’s Glow Collectibles".
