Boyd's 2006 Harvest and Holiday Items Beginning to Arrive

We didn't think that the Boyd's 2006 Harvest & Holiday items would ever get here. It seems so long since they were initially ordered that we were getting anxious.

It is so good to hear that the Boyd's Company is back on their feet, so to speak, and doing well. We certainly hope that they have a prosperous 2006 holiday season.

Some items that have arrived that just might tickle your fancy are:

Paulinettes Lily and Amelia Expected to Arrive in September

2006 has been a wonderful year for Pauline Bjonness-Jacobsen as she has introduced (and re-introduced) several new Paulinettes. Beacon's Glow Collectibles is proud to be an authorized dealer of these beautiful 8-inch porcelain dolls.

If you are interested in Marina, Carolyn, or Selena, we still have a limited supply available.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Amelia, Lily, and the adorable Amish pair, Annie and Jacob. All are expected to arrive sometime in September.

The Timeframe for the Last Two 2006 Cissys to Arrive

We just got word that the last two (2) remaining Cissys, "Twilight Cissy by Timothy Alberts" and "Heiress Elegance Cissy" will be arriving in the fall. "Twilight Cissy by Timothy Alberts" is expected in November of this year, and "Heiress Elegance Cissy" in September. The Alexander Doll Company is very accurate in their estimates, so if you might be interested in either of these dolls, please drop us an email and we'll be glad to let you know when they arrive.

A Long, Hot Summer

Hopefully, all of you are finding some relief from this extremely hot summer - thank goodness for air conditioning. Here in Central Texas the summer heat has been just stiffling - pretty much every day it hits at least 100 degrees, and with the humidity in the air, the heat index makes it feel like it is much more than 100.

We thought we would try something new with our blog. In addition to keeping you posted on new inventory that is arriving, as well as personal comments as to what items are real eye-catchers, we are going occasionally close each blog entry with an inspirational quote for the day.

The owner has always been very fond of the poet and author, Ralph Waldo Emerson, so don't be surprised if you oftentimes will see quotes from him posted from time to time.

By the way, Madame Alexander's "Spirit of New Orleans" arrived recently, and she is much nicer than in her photo. Her dramatic purple satin dress is very nice, and the gold accents on her dress really highlight the magnificant purple material. Also, the first flat-footed 21" Cissy doll, A Charmed Life, arrived this past Friday, and she is a gorgeous doll. Please note that with the purchase of all 2006 21" Cissy dolls that a 21" Dress Form, and free shipping is included with each doll.
